“Trust in God,
And make your move”
That’s the main message of one of the sweetest tracks we’ve heard these past five years. Fresh out of the studio, “Time” is a simple sounding song that packs a punch. And it’s coming from Missouri’s own Kamalzi.
You might know Kamalzi by name, and if you don’t, you certainly know him by voice. His is a unique sound that will get you out of your seat and moving about. Like most of Kamalzi’s songs, “Time” bears a clear Christian influence, as we can see from the lyrics above.
And while we’ve never been fans of explaining music, we’re going to delve into this one a little bit. “Time” is a song about trusting in God, which is clear to see from that very first listen. But it’s also about taking responsibility for your actions.
See, a lot of people make the mistake of assuming trusting in God means surrendering your responsibility. But then people like Kamalzi come along to remind us it’s the exact opposite.
Through “Time”, Kamalzi tells the whole world how he’s making his choices and standing up for their consequences. And that doesn’t in any way stop him from having faith or trusting in a higher power.
“Time” is a powerful and highly melodic tune about combining your faith with your sense of self-respect. It’s about turning to your faith to find the strength to go on, and make the most of your life. An artist heavy on the grinding aspect of the music industry, Kamalzi has never been one to shy away from responsibility.
And “Time” is his testament to the efforts he’s made and the struggles he’s endured to get to where he is today. It’s a song for Christians, but not only. It’s a song that any man, woman or child, of any creed, can enjoy and relate to. Because in the end, “Time” is about being the best version of yourself you can possibly be.
